The Secrets of Color Selection in Nurseries

In the latest issue of Anne Bebek Magazine, we explored the psychological and developmental impacts of color selection in nursery rooms, blending these insights with our design philosophy. At Yasmina Interior Design, we take a holistic approach to nursery design, focusing not just on aesthetics, but on the physical, perceptual, and sensory needs of the baby. While creating a calm, reassuring atmosphere with natural tones and soft pastels that avoid overstimulating the mind, we also give these spaces a sophisticated character by incorporating deeper shades like forest green, dark blue, and earth tones in the right proportions. Recognizing that nurseries are also shared living spaces for parents, we step beyond traditional conventions. We continue to design balanced, budget-friendly, and timeless spaces that easily adapt to the transition from infancy to childhood.

On Living Spaces

In the latest issue of Decor Magazine, we shared our brand's founding journey and design philosophy during a delightful interview with our founder and interior designer, Çiğdem Yalçın. At Yasmina Interior Design, we approach spaces not merely as aesthetic wholes, but as "living spaces" that carry the stories of their inhabitants. When bringing our designs to life, our top priority is to center on the lifestyles of the homeowners and transform spaces into brand-new stories by revitalizing them with their personal histories. In this special interview, where we shared our perception of "timeless spaces" that defy the years, the importance we give to details, and how we integrate eco-friendly materials into future designs with our sustainability approach, we sincerely expressed the excitement we feel with every new project.

Functional Spaces Will Leave Their Mark on 2026

In the September-October issue of Decor Magazine, we evaluated the evolving design trends of 2026 and the future of homes with our founder and interior designer, Çiğdem Yalçın. As Yasmina Interior Design, we emphasize that following the years ruled by minimalism, spaces are now transforming into areas that are not just stylish, but tell a story, evoke a sense of lived-in experience, and establish an emotional connection. In our new era designs, we move homes beyond merely being shelters; we configure them as multifunctional living spaces that respond to the needs of entertainment, relaxation, and socialization. While making sustainability, eco-friendly, and pet-friendly materials the fundamental building blocks of our designs, we create peaceful atmospheres with warm earth tones inspired by nature, such as beige, sand, and olive green. Leaving behind the stereotyped concept of the "perfect" space, we continue to transform every home into a living area that tells its owner's story by blending aesthetics and functionality with individuality.

Esra Erol's Favorite Corners

Esra Erol's Favorite Corners

In the April issue of Home Art Magazine, we were featured with our renovation project in the home of beloved TV personality Esra Erol. As Yasmina Interior Design, under the leadership of our founder Çiğdem Yalçın, we recreated the heart of Esra Erol's home: her kitchen and the adjoining winter garden. In our project, inspired by Ms. Esra's belief that "the kitchen is what makes a house a home," we designed a warm living space where the family gathers, conversations flow, and the day's tiredness is shared, rather than just an area for cooking. We reorganized the storage spaces to eliminate clutter and increase functionality, ensuring that the washing, cooking, and storage zones were orderly and in harmony with each other. We are immensely proud that Ms. Çiğdem, by carefully listening to Esra Erol's expectations and successfully striking the right balance, brought her exact dream kitchen to life "like a custom-tailored dress." While refreshing the spirit of the space with bright white tones, we brought the characteristic 'Yasmina' signature to the focal point with Rosso Levanto marble. You can explore the details of this project—designed with the principles of maximum efficiency and timeless elegance, leaving color fatigue behind—along with our delightful conversation with Esra Erol, in the visuals.
